Development Update – State of the Project

It has now been one year since the release of Beta 2 for The Darkest Mystery. Reaching that milestone feels surreal, and I want to thank everyone who has played and provided feedback over time.

Unfortunately, this update will not be a positive one. Shortly after the release of Beta 2, a personal event occurred in my life that completely shifted my mindset. As a result, I lost all passion for working on this project, and development came to a complete halt.

To be clear, The Darkest Mystery is not canceled. However, I want to set expectations realistically: there will be no major updates in the foreseeable future. At most, I may push out occasional minor patches if necessary, but no significant progress will be made until I regain the drive to continue.

I do plan to return to the project and aim to resume development in 2026. Until then, my focus will remain on personal priorities outside of the game.
